Shahen Shahinyan was re-elected as the rector of Conservatory
On November 18, in Yerevan State Conservatory, election of the rector was held. Current conservatory rector Shahen Shahinyan was re-elected in the elections held behind closed doors, which lasted about 2 hours. No other candidates have been nominated for this position. The candidates had approximately one month starting from October 7 to nominate their candidacy․
It’s noteworthy, that State Conservatory elections are held behind closed doors. Management Board consists of 24 members who make the decision, with 6 electors representing students, 6 – the Ministry of Culture, 6 – the government, and the other 6 are members of the conservatory staff.
