Within the scope of “100 Lives” project, Amal Clooney scholarship was founded

As reported by harpersbazaar.co.uk website, within the 100 Lives project framework, the Amal Clooney Scholarship will help young Lebanese women study for a degree at Dilijan International School of the United World Colleges network (UWC).
“As a leading human-rights defender Amal Clooney inspires the young women all over the world. She exemplifies integrity, compassion and dedication – and typifies what it means to be a global citizen across all cultures,” said the co-founder of 100 Lives and Dilijan International School Ruben Vardanyan. Due to this scholarship each year one pupil from Lebanon will study for two years in Dilijan International School. The scholarship will be awarded to the participants with exemplary academic abilities and those showing interest on matters related to human rights and international studies.
It is already known that Pamela Tepchranin is nominated to receive the first award. She has an excellent command in Arabic, French and English. The scholarship will provide the recipient with education in the fields of human rights and women’s rights in particular.

“Cross-cultural learning and studying abroad can be transformative. I am grateful to 100 Lives for helping to open doors for these bright and talented young women.”, said Amal Clooney.
