Turkish police prevented selling of 1000 years old bible


In Tokat city, which is located in the north of Turkey, the police seized a Bible, which is 1000 years old according to preliminary data. It is reported that the police confiscated it from 3 young men, when they tried to sell the relic. The book was written in an ancient Assyrian language and consisted of only 51 pages. The book’s cover was damaged, but the golden images inside were completely protected. At the beginning of this year in the same city Vincent Van Gogh’s “Man from the orphanage. Standing” painting was also found. It was seized from a car which belonged to a smuggler.
